The Burning Bush

Moses stayed in the wilderness, for forty years
As a shepherd, after he had spent forty years
In the palace, as a prince.
He never forgot to worship God,
And paid reverence to the sacred place.
Moses was a great man, God had work for him to do.

While one day shepherding the flock,
On Mount Sinai, a burning bush attracted him.
A bush on fire, yet not burning up,
Then he heard a voice coming from it.
“Moses! Moses!”
“Here I am,” he listened and said;

I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham,
I heard the cry from my people,
I’m coming to set them free,
And you shall lead out my people from Egypt;
It is too great a work for me,
Moses hesitated.

Then the signs were given to him,
A rod became a snake,
A leper’s hand became healthy again,
And other signs he might need.
Still, he had some doubts,
About his ability, as a good speaker.

A poet, like a bluejay trying to make you happy, I can make it if you see me every day, and you talk to me as you wish, I'd love to sing to respond to the voice
