Every word you say, you mean it,
’Cause every word means your life to be.
Everyone has God’s blessings,
They are different, indeed,
But I respect my own gift,
I appreciate what I have already.
When I worship God,
When I worship truth,
I become prudent and smart,
I can get more and more good things coming,
Because I’m quiet and thoughtful,
I watch my every thought coming.
There are two sons, Isaac and Rebekah,
Esau, the older, fond of hunting, rough,
Jacob is quiet, thoughtful, and caring for the flocks at home;
Isaac loves Esau more than Jacob,
Rebekah likes Jacob, ’cause he’s wise and careful.
In those times, birthright means a lot, being the firstborn.
One day, Esau came back from hunting,
Hungry and tired, seeing Jacob with a bowl of something.
Give me some of that red stuff in the dish,
I will give it to you if you will first sell your birthright to me.
