Chiseling Into My Body

“Every block of stone has a statue
Inside it and it is the task of
The sculptor to discover it.”
-Michelangelo Buonarrori

I was a nasty block of stone,
I didn’t realize it
Till one day
I saw it from the sky.

Gradually,
I was shaped,
So far so good,
I became pretty.

I realized
I was chasing something,
Something is so true to me,
I was chiseling and chiseling into my body.

I wanted to find the truth,
My true self, indeed
The voice told me
I could do it.

The voice knows exactly
What I should be,
The voice teaches me
How to chisel it.

How to get rid of the unnecessities,
Around me,
About me,
At each moment, I get it.

A poet, like a bluejay trying to make you happy, I can make it if you see me every day, and you talk to me as you wish, I'd love to sing to respond to the voice
