Abram lived in the city, not far from Babylon,
He’s a good man, pray to the Lord God,
And try always to do God’s will.
But the people around did not,
They pray to idols, images,
They did not call on God.
They did not know God’s will,
They did many wicked things.
God said to Abram one day,
To move his family to a new land.
God promised to him and his family,
Abram listened to God.
Together with his family, he moved on,
Listening to the direction of God.
Along the journey, Abram’s father died,
His brother Nahor stayed in Haran on the way,
Lot, his younger brother’s son, went with him,
They came into the land of Canaan.
The land, God had spoken to him,
A long time after this, called “the Land of Israel”,
In “The Holy Land”, the Lord Jesus lived many years afterward.
They traveled a lot in the area, feeding the flocks,
Setting tent where they went,
Praying to God constantly.
